Speech pathology can support people who experience communication or swallowing difficulties, or who wish to develop these skills further. Support may include:

  • Producing clear speech sounds
  • Speaking fluently
  • Understanding words, sentences, instructions, or stories
  • Expressing needs, ideas, and feelings
  • Building sentences and telling stories
  • Using alternative ways to communicate (e.g. spelling boards, key word sign, AAC devices)
